The Brief History
It was started in 1992, some founders were interested in erecting the first Nursing College in Pontianak, the Capital City of West Borneo, Indonesia. Some founders were H. Ishaq Saleh alm. (the late), H. Hassan Gaffar, dr. Inin Barasila and some others. In the beginning, it was using the same building with the University of Muhammadiyah Pontianak.
The first Building of Nursing College of Muhammadiyah Pontianak from 1992-2000
As time goes by the management of the Nursing College was independent. History began when the Muhammadiyah Nursing College bought the building by itself. It as located on Jalan Sungai Raya Dalam, Gang/alley Ceria V no 10. The building was in the corner of the Gang/Alley. The first study program was Diploma of Nursing. It was the favourite one in the province. Gradually, one by one residence house was purchased for developing the campus.
The Dormitory of the student (Ibnu Sina Islamic Dormitory)
In 2010, The campus has grown up amazingly, We opened the Bachelor Program of Nursing. Again it was the first and the biggest in west Borneo province. Along with the demands of health human resources, in 2017 we started thinking to open the Magister Program of Nursing. In 2019, with the new chairperson, Haryanto, Ph.D. is starting to widen the scopes of Knowledge of health science by opening some new programs.
